State Farm® Insurance Agent Rob Hamlin

"Let me start with I am stunned. I have never seen a customer treated like this. My almost 80 year old father filed a claim on his home in October complaining of moisture in his bedroom. State Farm acknowledged this claim and said they would send someone out. Well then November goes by and then December goes by and he calls and says my home is so moist I have mold in my closet, my bed, ceilings etc. Still no response. Finally after calling Oregons insurance commissioner concerned for his health as he is diabetic and walks with a cane and has poor vision State Farm responded and brought a Supervisor and a Contractor to the home to investigate in January 2026. State Farm agreed the situation was very bad and paid the contractor enough to tear apart the home but not finish. So his room is torn apart and and he has no hot water in his home. Since the home is torn apart till State Farm pays the rest of the claim he currently sleeps in a recliner in his living room which he has done since November. He is currently washing his dishes on his stove from no hot water and goes to neighbors for showers. He keeps warm with a plug in blanket because his home is open to the elements and wont hold heat. I’m astonished on this kind of treatment to a long time customer that can not remember the last time he ever made a claim. I would think long and hard before insuring yourself let alone your elderly parents as they clearly take advantage of the situation and have NO compassion for their customers."
